3. AC520 – Proposed New Acceptance Criteria for CO2Concrete-Based Concrete Masonry Units. This proposed new criteria includes evaluation requirements for CO2Concrete-Based Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) that are an alternative to load bearing and non-load bearing CMU complying with ASTM C90 and ASTM C129 under the 2018 IBC and IRC. The criteria addresses hollow and solid, normal weight, medium weight and lightweight CMU blocks that are made from a proprietary CO2Concrete mixture formulation and material components. Click here.

6. AC519 — Proposed New Acceptance Criteria for Enclosed Booths for Installation Inside New and Existing Buildings. A previous version of this proposed new criteria was presented at the June 2020 ICC-ES Evaluation Committee meeting and was recommended for Further Study by the ICC-ES Evaluation Committee. The proposed new criteria has been revised to include reference to ICC A117.1, removing exception language and revising requirements for enclosed booth door opening dimensions, slopes and ceiling heights. 7. AC516 – Proposed New Acceptance Criteria for Factory-Applied Fire-Retardant Penetrant for Wood Structural Panels and Sawn Lumber. A previous version of this proposed new criteria was presented at the February 2020 ICC-ES Evaluation Committee meeting and was recommended for Further Study by the ICC-ES Evaluation Committee. A revised draft was posted for public comments for discussion at the June 2020 hearing, however, due to comments received, the proposed new criteria was withdrawn from the June 2020 ICC-ES Evaluation Committee meeting agenda. The proposed new criteria has been extensively revised to include a wetting and drying preconditioning protocol for wood with factory-applied fire-retardant penetrant prior to required surface-burning tests to address possible wetting during the construction process, requirements for effects of the penetrant on wood mechanical properties similar to AC66, requirements for evaluation of OSB panels with penetrant that are not addressed in AC66, and removal of specific product uses included in earlier version of the criteria.
