ICC-ES Issues ESR-3309 to Schletter Inc. for Flush Mount Solar Mounting Systems
Report shows compliance with IBC, IRC,CBC

ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), the experts in building product evaluation and certification, has issued ESR-3309 to Schletter Inc. providing evidence their Flush Mount solar mounting systems comply with the requirements of the 2012 and 2009 International Building Codes® (IBC) and the 2012 and 2009 International Residential Codes® (IRC).

The Flush Mount solar mounting systems are intended for use as a means to secure and support solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, installed parallel to and elevated above the roof surface. Under the IRC, the systems must be designed in accordance with the IBC as indicated in IRC Section R301.1.3. ESR-3309 also holds 2013 California Building Code (CBC) supplement and 2013 California Residential Code (CRC) supplement, verifying relevant state compliance.

“As the solar sector continues to grow, manufacturers are constantly developing and improving solar technology with new materials, and ICC-ES is committed to ensuring these products meet code requirements” said ICC-ES President, Shahin Moinian P.E. “ICC-ES reports provide code officials with the technical information needed to instantly approve products with confidence and peace of mind. Our technical staffs are the best in the industry and provide a rigorous evaluation of products.”

ICC-ES evaluates Photovoltaic (PV) Mount and Rack Systems for Snow Load, Wind and Seismic Requirements required by the IBC®. ICC-ES is the only agency that has the institutional knowledge to evaluate products to the requirements of its Acceptance Criteria (AC) for Modular Framing Systems Used to Support Photovoltaic (PV) Modules (AC428).
