ICC-ES and EOTA Agreement Adds Value for Manufacturers Globally

BREA, CALIF. —ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) has been working diligently with the European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA), in an effort to align technical specifications across both entities. This cross-licensing agreement, currently in place, allows both sides to use copyrighted technical content for each other’s specifications.

The working relationship between ICC-ES and EOTA is beneficial to manufacturers on either side of the globe.  Although each organization will continue to publish its respective technical assessment reports for their regions, this agreement will help reduce product testing and expedite product evaluation, for both American and European manufacturers.

“We are always looking to serve the needs of our customers, and this agreement adds value in very important ways for manufacturers looking to get their products to market quickly,” said ICC-ES President Shahin Moinian, P.E.
