Scott is the Vice President of Global Structural System Technology for MiTek where he has served in escalating engineering roles for 24 years in both design and research and development.  Scott’s primary focus today is in new solution development to improve the way buildings are built from design to fabrication to assembly with a goal of improving affordability and sustainability.

Scott currently serves on the ICC-ES board of managers and Industry Advisory Committee.  He is also active with a number of other industry organizations including: the School of Engineering advisory board for Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, IL; he represents MiTek as a founding partner of the Wood Utilization and Design Institute at Clemson University; he is the current secretary of the board for the Truss Plate Institute; he is a member of both the ASCE and the NCSEA.

Scott has also served for a number of years as a member of the Industrial Professional Advisory committee for the School of Civil Engineering for SIUE.
