ICC Evaluation Service issues its First Formaldehyde Emission Listing
The ICC-ES Listing Program continues to grow, adding new clients and service offerings

Brea, Calif. – ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) issued its first formaldehyde listing as a third-party certifier under the Formaldehyde Emission Standards for Composite Wood Products Rule to Fuzhou Leifeng Building Material Co. Ltd of China.

ICC-ES is one of a few providers worldwide that is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to certify that composite wood products sold, supplied, offered for sale, imported to or manufactured in the United States are compliant with the formaldehyde emission standards. All producers of composite wood panels are required to have their products certified by an EPA-recognized third-party certifier to ensure their products are compliant.

“EPA recognition has allowed ICC-ES to expand its service offerings to a whole new set of manufacturers in need of such services,” said ICC-ES President Shahin Moinian, P.E. “We are proud to have reached this milestone and look forward to certifying more manufacturers in the future”.

ICC-ES continues to grow its “one stop shop” certification programs and add to its comprehensive suite of services which include innovative product evaluation as well as product listings to standards within the International Codes and other codes in the nation.
