ICC-ES Issues ESR-3575 to Roof Tech for RT-[E] Mount Solar PV Mounting System
Report demonstrates compliance to the latest codes and standards
ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), the experts in building product evaluation and certification, has issued ESR-3575 to Roof Tech for their RT-[E] Mount Solar PV Mounting system with Integrated Butyl Tape, providing evidence they comply with code requirements of the 2015, 2012, 2009 and 2006 International Building Codes® (IBC) and International Residential Codes® (IRC).
The Roof Tech [E] Mount Solar PV mounting system is composed of metal bracket, wood screws and the RT Butyl Tape used to seal penetrations created during installation over a roof covered with asphalt shingles. The [E] Mount brackets are made from aluminum and come in two types, [E] Mount and [E] Mount Air. Both of the brackets are similar except that the [E] Mount Air has a taller profile.
“We are pleased to issue a report to Roof Tech, a manufacturer of roofing technologies that rely heavily on ICC-ES’ technical expertise and high-quality reports”, Said ICC-ES Senior Staff Engineer Yamil Moya, P.E. “ICC-ES thoroughly examined Roof Tech’s product information, test reports, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code compliant.”
“We are very pleased that our product has been evaluated by the ICC-ES to the latest building and residential codes”, said Milton Nogueira, M.E. Roof Tech Senior Business Development Manager. “Working with ICC-ES has helped Roof Tech to bridge the communication between the Solar Contractors and the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) to move through the permitting process.”
