ICC-ES and APA Establish New Combined Product Listing Program for Cross-Laminated Timber Products to PRG-320
Manufacturers will receive combined listing report outlining certification from both ICC-ES and APA
ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), the experts in built environment product evaluation and certification, and APA – The Engineered Wood Association, have established a cooperative agreement, offering a new combined product listing program to manufacturers of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) products.
This new program will feature a combined listing report, certifying CLT products for compliance with ANSI/APA PRG 320 Standard for Performance-Rated Cross-Laminated Timber. Manufacturers will then be able to add the well-known ICC-ES Listed Mark of Conformity to their product packaging and identification and the product will be listed as certified by ICC-ES and APA.
“ICC-ES is pleased to announce this new and exciting product listing program with APA – The Engineered Wood Association,” said ICC-ES president, Shahin Moinian, P.E. “Together, with our decades of experience and knowledge, we will be able to produce the highest quality report listings.”
“APA welcomes the opportunity to be part of this new program with ICC-ES,” said APA Director, Technical Services, BJ Yeh, Ph.D., P.E. “Having a combined listing report with ICC-ES and APA will add value to CLT manufacturers by enhancing their product recognition and acceptance in the marketplace.”
Manufacturers may also apply separately to ICC-ES for an evaluation report under the ICC-ES Acceptance Criteria for Cross-Laminated Timber Panels for Use as Components in Floor and Roof Decks (AC455), which offers expanded recognition. Please contact Michael Temesvary, P.E. at ICC-ES at 800-423-6587, or email at es@icc-es.org to schedule an exploratory meeting to discuss the AC455 evaluation report program and how this will further benefit your company.
ICC-ES is ready to evaluate/certify your Cross-Laminated Timber products to applicable acceptance criteria or national consensus standards, as well as to the requirements of the IBC and IRC codes published by the International Code Council.
