ICC-ES Issues SQF Food Certification to Maulec Group in Mexico

 – ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), the leader in building product evaluation and certification, has awarded certification of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program to Maulec Group, marking the official introduction of the program to clients worldwide.

The certification, issued as ESF-2532, includes inspection and evaluation to the SQF Food Safety Code Edition 9 under the categories of Dairy Food Processing and Canning, UHT, and Aseptic Operations.

Maulec Group is comprised of 100% Mexican and proudly Poblano companies, dedicated to pasteurization, manufacture of cardboard products, livestock and transportation. The company has a strong commitment to the growth of the country, seeking to promote community development and generating jobs that positively impact the environment.

The SQF program is a rigorous and credible food safety and quality program that is recognized by retailers, brand owners, and food service providers worldwide. Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the SQF family of food safety and quality codes are designed to meet industry, customer, and regulatory requirements for all sectors of the food supply chain – from the farm all the way to the retail stores.

The ICC-ES Food Safety Management Certification Program combines the experience and knowledge of the widely accepted certification body with systematic application of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) to provide a solution for businesses supplying local and global food markets.
