ICC-ES Freezes ESR Pricing Through 2026 and Introduces 7% Discount on Two-Year Renewals

Brea, CA – ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) today announced a freeze on all Evaluation Service Report (ESR) renewal pricing through the end of 2026, reaffirming its commitment to being a stable and trustworthy partner in a volatile economic climate. In addition, effective immediately, ICC-ES will introduce a 7% discount on the base fee for two-year ESR renewals. This initiative applies to all current ESR holders and new applicants, providing predictability and cost savings to building product manufacturers at a time of political uncertainty and tariff-driven volatility in global trade.

“In an environment of unprecedented uncertainty – from shifting trade tariffs to rising material costs – our clients need a partner they can rely on,” said David Tompos, Executive Vice President of Conformity Assessment. “By freezing our fees through 2026, we are ensuring that the cost of maintaining compliance will not be another unknown for our stakeholders. We want our report holders to plan long-term, with confidence that ICC-ES will remain a steady and supportive presence.”

Under this pricing freeze, all ESR-related renewal fees, unchanged since ICC-ES’s last adjustment in 2023, will remain at their levels through December 31, 2026. This commitment covers ESR annual and biennial renewals. By holding prices flat while many construction costs fluctuate, ICC-ES give manufacturers predictable compliance expenses they can build into multi-year budgets with confidence.

Clients who choose the two-year renewal option in a single transaction will automatically receive the 7% discount, encouraging long-range planning and rewarding continued partnership with ICC-ES.

Transparency and customer focus are at the heart of this decision. Over the past decade, ICC-ES fees have seen periodic adjustments to keep pace with the cost of providing high-quality technical evaluations. However, with many manufacturers facing supply chain challenges and tariff-related cost spikes, ICC-ES recognizes the importance of holding the line on certification costs. “Our message to the industry is clear – we’re in this together for the long haul,” David Tompos added. “ICC-ES is not just a service provider, but a partner in our stakeholders’ success. When we say we value long-term relationships, backing it up by keeping our pricing stable and even providing discounts in tough times demonstrates that commitment.”

All current ESR holders will be informed of the freeze, and any renewal quotes going forward will reflect the 0% increase for 2025–2026 and the available two-year term discount. ICC-ES encourages clients to consider the two-year renewal option to take advantage of the savings and lock in their compliance needs through 2027 at a reduced rate.

ICC-ES remains dedicated to professional excellence and public safety in building product evaluation. Even with the pricing freeze, ICC-ES will continue to invest in prompt service, technical rigor, and customer support. By absorbing the pressures of inflation and avoiding fee hikes, ICC-ES is effectively giving back to the industry and prioritizing the long-term benefits of safe, code-compliant innovation.
