An ICC-ES IRC® Equivalency Evaluation Report (EER) highlights an ICC-ES evaluated product's end-use application or assembly for residential projects through graphic information in a report form. The EER indicates the findings of a particular application or design of a building product, evaluated by ICC-ES for compliance with the prescriptive requirements of the International Residential Code®. The EER is supported by a valid and current ICC-ES Evaluation Report (ESR).
An EER showcases a building product's design application compliance with prescriptive requirements of the IRC and can improve presence in the construction industry.
Deck boards, proprietary sheathing panels, hold-downs (and more!) can benefit from an EER.
The EER is available to manufacturers as a value-added service in addition to a traditional ICC-ES evaluation report.
The EER is an easily digestible report that provides assurance that a building product meets requirements and is fully compliant to the IRC.
The report can be used in the approval of products evaluated for single-family houses, two-family houses (duplexes) and buildings consisting of three or more townhouse units.
The EER provides prescriptive design evaluated by ICC-ES that can be used in the preparation of construction documents and building permit applications, helping to streamline the permitting process.
All current and valid EERs are available in our reports directory.
You can search by the product name, the product manufacturer, or the type of product.
Check out what clients are saying about the EER:
"[EER-4593] is our go-to prescriptive design guide for PINKBAR.
This is how you, the builder, can use PINKBAR in any of your residential concrete application projects. [EER-4593] walks through standard details ... everything you would need to build any house in the United States using PINKBAR - without an engineer."
