With Australia’s construction sector seeing significant growth driven by urbanization and infrastructure projects, the demand for reliable, compliant building products has never been higher. ICC-ES certification helps manufacturers meet these expectations, helping to show that products are code compliant and streamlining acceptance by building professionals and consumers alike.
The CodeMark Certification Scheme is a voluntary third-party building product certification scheme, administered by the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB). It supports the use of new or innovative building products in specified circumstances in Australia, by providing a nationally accepted process for demonstrating compliance with the Building Code of Australia (Volumes One and Two of the National Construction Code (NCC)).
A Certificate of Conformity or an ICC-ES Evaluation Service Report (ESR) are options available for meeting the evidence of suitability requirements of the NCC.
ICC-ES is accredited by JASANZ as a certification body for CodeMark Australia, enabling ICC-ES to certify building products in Australia under the CodeMark Scheme. ICC-ES is also an approved WaterMark Conformity Assessment Body (WMCAB), accredited by JASANZ, to certify plumbing and drainage products, including Lead Free products, under the WaterMark Scheme.
