While it will be some time before the recovery tools the International Code Council can provide to Haiti will come into play, the Council is using its relationships with the United Nations and the efforts being coordinated by former President William Clinton to help rebuild the devastated nation and reduce future fatalities, injuries and property damage from earthquakes and other natural disasters.
